Total Time:30 minutes
Ingredients
For the Biscuits:
1 refrigerated tube – 8 buttermilk biscuits 1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling ½ stick (4 tbsp) unsalted butter ½ cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
For the Glazed Topping:
½ cup powdered sugar 3 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Biscuits: Separate the biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart. Using your fingers or the back of a spoon, create a small indentation in the center of each biscuit.
Prepare the Apple Filling: In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and nutmeg. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined. Add the apple pie filling to the saucepan, stirring to coat the apples with the butter-sugar mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes until the filling is warm and the flavors have melded together.
Fill the Biscuits: Spoon the apple pie filling into the indentation of each biscuit, dividing the filling evenly among the biscuits.
Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Prepare the Glazed Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth and well combined.
Serve: Drizzle the glaze over the warm apple pie biscuits. Serve immediately and enjoy!
