Description
A comforting and hearty Coney Chili Mac Casserole made with ground beef, elbow macaroni, and topped with melted cheddar cheese.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: Crushed crackers or crispy onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- In the skillet with the cooked beef, stir in the cooked elbow macaroni, tomato sauce, beef broth, mustard, and chili powder. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed crackers or crispy onions on top for added crunch before serving.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
