Ingredients
Scale
1 thin crust pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 lb ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 egg (for egg wash)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, and cook until the onions are translucent.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in the sliced bell peppers and black olives (if using). Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Assemble the Bread:
Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the beef mixture. - Roll the Dough:
Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal. - Egg Wash:
Place the rolled dough seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg. - Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through. - Serve:
Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
