 - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
 - 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
 - 1/4 cup vegetable oil
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
 
- 1 cup brown sugar
 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - 1 ½ cups hot water
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and spices.
 - Add the canned pumpkin, vegetable oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
 - Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
 - In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the batter.
 - Carefully pour hot water over the entire mixture in the baking dish.
 - Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is set and golden.
 - Let it cool slightly before serving.
