- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 1/2 cups egg noodles
- 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese, grated
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, grated onion, nutmeg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and add to the skillet with the sauce.
- Add the meatballs to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with grated Swiss cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef.
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or carrots for added nutrition.
