6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
12 slices Swiss cheese
10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup
1 cup chicken broth
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup melted butter
8 ounce package Stove Top stuffing mix
1 teaspoon fresh minced parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
1.1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Prepare the Chicken:
2.1. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
2.2. Season the chicken breasts with grated parmesan cheese, salt, and ground black pepper. - Add the Cheese:
3.1. Lay two slices of Swiss cheese over each chicken breast. - Prepare the Sauce:
4.1. In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and minced garlic. Mix well.
4.2. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the chicken and cheese. - Prepare the Stuffing:
5.1. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and Stove Top stuffing mix.
5.2. Sprinkle the stuffing mixture evenly over the top of the chicken and sauce. - Bake the Casserole:
6.1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
6.2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the stuffing is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through. - Serve:
7.1. Garnish with fresh minced parsley, if desired.
